The perfect cake surrounding the preserves of your choice? What on earth could be better. Anything that is called old fashioned and I am in! I love classic flavors and figure if the recipe has been around awhile it’s a keeper, right? This recipe calls for your favorite vanilla cake recipe or box mix.
I was excited to try this Old-Fashioned Jam Cake because it looked like something I’d have ingredients on hand for, and also a recipe the whole family would enjoy. With the ability to switch it up and use varying preserves flavors it would always seem “new.” For this first time, I went with the peach as suggested by the recipe – I’m in love! And so was my whole family – they told me I’m not allowed to change a thing the next time I make this!
