Reach a Whole New Level of Awesome with a Couple Twists in This Favorite Pasta Dish

Mac and cheese, kids love it, adults love it and what’s not to love? However, it can get pretty old when the young ones ask for it every night. I find myself saying, “Again? We just had that!”

This variation lets me make it for them but enjoy a kind of adult version because it uses tortellini and smoky, crispy bacon! Plus, it’s baked in the oven and that’s the only way I like my mac and cheese because it produces those crispy cheese parts that I love. I found this a quick fix, which is great when your days are busy.

If you know how to make a white sauce, you’re golden. Use store-bought tortellini of course, and with a quick mix it’s ready to go. It’s almost like the oven does all the work for you.

Quick Tip: Pop the bacon on a pan in the oven at about 350, it will cook and crisp while you get the sauce going.
