Donuts never get old, sometimes I have a craving and send my husband out to get a dozen on a whim. Opening the box and seeing the icing laden circles with fun sprinkles on top brings back fond childhood memories of when my mom would surprise us in the morning. So how does one elevate this sweet snack? Make a giant donut of course!
I love that the icing was so simple to make, I never thought of combining cream cheese, powdered sugar and strawberries to make it; the end result was perfect, smooth pink icing that we’ve long seen cascading down the sides of donuts on the shelf of bakeries.
