There’s a saying that goes in Texas… if someone ever says their queso has no Velvetta, they’re lying. While the statement isn’t 100% true, the sentiment is real. Velveeta provides a core creaminess in queso that there’s no other substitution for. Many put together Rotel and Velveeta for a quick queso, and I’m not here to knock that tried and true recipe.
But if you’re up for a little something more… a flavor more distinguished and layered, then you need to try this recipe right here. I must give you a little warning though- this recipe will have you saying howdy and y’all before you’ll realize it. Before you start using Texan lingo, you need a little learnin’. Y’all is singular. Y’all’s is possessive. All y’all is plural. And all y’all’s is plural possessive.

Quick Tip – For easiest preparation, let this melt and cook in a crockpot. As an added bonus, it’ll stay warm as you eat.
Do you have any video of that? I’d like to find out more details.
