Ooey Gooey Cake Batter Bars!

My nephew’s one year birthday party was coming up quickly. It was my sister’s first child and her first one year old birthday party. Now we know that these one year birthday parties are really for the adults because the babies don’t remember any of this stuff. It’s fun to see them eat the smash cake if they will touch it and that is about all for the babies part!

I loved throwing my kids their first birthday party. It’s just fun. It’s a great experience when its your first childs party too. Everything is new for you at that point in time. A lot of it is fun and a lot of it can be very stressful on the first time mommy. So, I took it upon myself to help my little sister out with the planning of this party and she sure was grateful for that!

We thought of tons of yummy food to make. We had the cake settled and other finger foods that we were going to serve. One thing that I just had to make for this party was these delicious ooey gooey cake batter bars. Some might call them chess bars, but I think they are not quite that. Anyways they were a smashing hit amongst the adults and the little kiddies at the party!
