This Is How French Onion Soup Should Be Done

Grandma and I always had a special date once a month. She had six other grand kids, and she wanted to make each one of us feel special. During our dates, we would usually go to a movie, shopping, or to play putt-putt golf. There was always a fun activity that we took part in, and that’s when we would really get to bond with one another. After that was over, we would usually go to Grandma’s favorite diner for a nice meal before she took me home.

I wanted to be just like her, so I just got whatever she was ordering. One thing that was a regular on our table was French onion soup. They made the best. It always came out piping hot, super cheesy, and full of onion flavor. I couldn’t get enough of the stuff.

Now that I am older, I am always trying to make yummy dishes in my own kitchen. That’s when my memories of this French onion soup came back to me.

I saw a recipe for French onion soup casserole on Recipe Lion, and I was overcome with joy. I made it that very next day and it was in one word…AMAZING!”
