Grandma’s Irresistible Cinnamon Dulce De Leche Chopped Bread

I am still a little embarrassed whenever I think of what happened at Mrs. Thompson’s the other day. Mrs. Thompson is our kind neighbor who treats me and my husband like her grandchildren. Okay, it’s not really bad, and it’s not a big deal for her. However, it’s kind of embarrassing for me, okay? I didn’t mean to. I was passing by her house when I smelled this amazing something coming from her kitchen. Subconsciously, my feet carried me towards her window. If she didn’t know me, I would have been reported for trespassing.

Mrs. Thompson saw me right outside her kitchen window and called me. If it wasn’t for her, I could still be hanging around in there, making a fool of myself. But I really couldn’t resist the smell of the bread she’s baking!

It turned out it was called Dulce De Leche bread that’s why it smelled that nice. She offered a slice to me when she invited me to her kitchen. She has a lot of them resting on a cooling rack.

Mrs. Thompson told me that she was about to bring the loaves to a gathering. I didn’t want to accept a loaf from her because of the same reason, but she insisted that my family should have a taste of it. Well, how could I say no to that?

My family loved it. My husband even asked if I knew where the gathering was so he could sneak it and beg for another loaf. He’s just joking of course.

Quick Tip: This is best served just a little bit warm, but it’s also lovely sliced and just a little bit toasted.
