Soup Has Just Gotten Bolder In This Lemony Potato Chowder

This lemony potato chowder has just changed the chowder game in our family. Okay, so I always make chowder because it’s a favorite of my family. However, it’s very rare that I make a chowder that doesn’t have anything else on it. You know what I am talking about- smooth chowder that doesn’t have pieces of meat or vegetables on it. My family loves the texture of those pieces, so I always have them on the chowder.

A few days ago, my husband came home not feeling well. It’s the changing seasons, which was the cause of his slight flu. His body is sensitive to such a change in temperature.

I usually get sick after spring, transitioning to summer because heat is really not my friend. But my husband is the opposite- his body loves the heat while cold is his enemy. Since I can’t do anything with the seasons, I just make sure he feels better.

My husband doesn’t like going to the doctor if it’s not that serious. He also doesn’t like taking medicine if we can treat it the normal way like towel bath and something warm that will allow him to perspire. This is where hearty soups come in.

I made this lemony potato chowder for him during that time. It’s not just the warmth provided by the soup; there’s lemon in here that’s really good for the body. He finished his chowder in no time and slept the whole day.

I won’t be claiming that soups are therapeutic, but this soup really made him feel better. So if you want a copy of this, head on over to the next page, please.
