There’s Nothing Corny About Chowing Down This Flavorsome Chowder!

Lately, my husband has been requesting for soup recipes. I mean okay, he always requests for something warm whenever he went home, but his craving for it seemed to intensify lately. Just the other day, he requested for seafood chowder, so I asked him what’s the sudden craving for. His answer was simply: “The weather is getting warmer. I want to enjoy this warm food while it’s still best for the season.”

At first, I didn’t understand what he meant, but after a few seconds of making sense, I finally did. We enjoy this type of food so well during the cold seasons. We will not get to enjoy it as much when it’s the warm seasons.

While that’s fine, he just wanted to savor the feeling while it lasted. I told him he was so sentimental. All he ever said was, “only when it comes to food.”

Ain’t that the truth. So I caved in to his request and made seafood chowder that night. And the night after that, I made corn chowder just to tease him.

Well, he looked really happy about it! My sons too, since they will eat anything creamy. I made some crusty bread to go with the chowder and it was a perfect combination!
