I am a huge fan of cranberry sauce but there are people in my family who simply despise the stuff.
This really stinks because I enjoy eating the sauce quite a bit. So anyway, like any good cook I made a compromise and whipped up these cranberry apples. The dish is super sweet, crunchy, and flavorful. You are really going to enjoy this. And guess what? This recipe is super easy to make. Yay!
I chose to use a combination of Granny Smith, Gala, and Red Delicious apples for this wonderful recipe. The mix was terrific, with the Granny Smiths being the real stand-outs. Try serving them warm atop flaky biscuits… Mmmmm, good! My husband and kids really enjoyed eating these cranberry apples and I know your family will, too.
