I am always looking for fun new activities to do with my kids. When they were little, it was things like finger painting and learning how to color. Now that they are getting older, I also want these activities to help teach them something about being more independent. I know when I was younger, my mom always kept me real close to her while she did cooking, cleaning, and everything else that I would need to know when I moved out. The transition to my first apartment was pretty simple. I already knew what to do.
With me doing everything for my kids all the time, and them running around busy with their own lives, I didn’t want these opportunities to be missed. One of our favorite things to do together is cook. They love seeing how a pile of ingredients can turn into something that is yummy to eat.
When I found this recipe for pepperoni pizza roll ups on What about Pie, I couldn’t wait to make them with my babies. They had so much fun helping roll and put them together. Then, when they came out, they devoured their masterpieces. I’m sure when they are in college, they will be a hit among their roommates with this recipe in their mind.
