This is a great selection if you are looking for something to take to a potluck dinner. Everyone always goes crazy for this pizza casserole.
I can’t get out of any event that I have taken it to without sharing the recipe at least a few times. For really big parties, I will do up a few pans or cook this in a giant casserole dish and then transfer it over to my biggest crock pot. I always walk away with a cleared out pan.
Ingredients
2 (28 oz) cans plum tomatoes, drained
16 oz. refrigerated biscuit dough
1 lb ground Italian sausage, cooked and drained of fat
8 oz. pepperoni slices
8 oz. low moisture mozzarella, thinly sliced
1 cup shredded parmesan
1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend
2 Tbsp Italian seasoning
salt and pepper, to taste
additional toppings of your choice
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray.
Roll out biscuit dough and place it in baking dish, making sure it extends up the sides of dish.
Add mozzarella slices on top of crust, then add pepperoni and sausage.
In a large bowl, crush the plum tomatoes with a fork, then stir in parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Spread tomato sauce evenly over pizza, then sprinkle with Italian cheese blend.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until dough is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
