This yummy cheesy sausage and rice casserole is the perfect meal on any day. I prefer suppers like this on a cold day, but it works during the summertime too.
This has been a huge hit at our house ever since the first time I tried it. My kids want me to make this at least once in two weeks! I know once you make this dish you will love it just as much as I do! Or maybe you’ve tried this recipe already? We’d love to know how it turned out for you so don’t forget to leave a comment below!
1 lb bulk pork sausage
1 package rice pilaf
3 celery ribs, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp McCormick garlic powder
grated cheese, optional
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Prepare rice mix according to package directions.
Meanwhile, cook the sausage, carrots and celery in a large skillet over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink; drain.
Combine the sausage mixture, rice, soup, garlic powder and pepper. Transfer to a 3-quart baking dish, sprinkle with grated cheese (optional), cover and bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
