There are very few fish recipes that my brother loves.
Anyone will see his lack of appetite whenever fish was on the table. On the other hand, I eat fish because I kind of like the fact that since its meat is a bit flavorless so you can have any sauce to eat it with. I particularly love the thin creamy sauce my Mom used to make especially for me. I quite didn’t like this sweet and sour sauce that my parents loved to make. And it’s probably the only thing that my brother and I agreed on with regards to fish.
They would roll pieces of this particular type of fish in flour and fry them, setting them aside after to let them cool. Then they would prepare this sweet and sour sauce made from vinegar, cornstarch, and ketchup, which they would pour on top. There’s also a couple of vegetables in there—carrots and celery. So what I always did was to set aside one of the fried fishes for me and my brother. We would just eat it without the special sauce. This recipe from Facebook caught my eye because it is something that I will be willing to eat for days, sauce or no sauce.

Quick Tip: Garlic mayo also makes a very good dip for fried fish.
