These are the ultimate snack for any event, potluck, or just because you are looking for something different to try out. We eat these all the time at our house. I think it’s just because they are so easy to put together. They cook up quickly, and most of the time, I already have everything that we need in the house to make them. My little ones like to help me make these too, so it’s a fun thing to do together in the kitchen.
Once you taste one of these, you aren’t going to be able to stop. You better make sure to make a lot!
Ingredients
8 oz finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 c Land O’ Lakes butter, melted
1 1/2 c Gold Medal all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp Domino sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp water
Instructions
Combine cheese and butter until well blended.
Add flour, sugar, salt, and cayenne blend until well mixed.
Add water and mix until mixture comes together and forms a dough.
Knead dough until smooth.
Form into a ball, divide in half and shape each half into an 8-inch log.
Wrap each log in plastic wrap and chill 2 hours.
Remove dough logs from refrigerator; slice into 1/4 inch disks and place on 2 baking sheets that are greased.
Poke a fork in the top a few times.
Bake 12-14 minutes at 375 degrees until just golden on the edge.
