I am so thankful that I found this recipe over on the Making Memories With Your Kids blog. It’s very easy to make and it tastes amazing. in fact, this spaghetti casserole reminded me a lot like lasagna. My middle son said it was better than lasagna. I think I have to agree with him. This casserole has a much better texture. This is the perfect casserole to take to a church potluck or family gathering.
Check out what my pal, Erin, from Making Memories With Your Kids blog had to say about this recipe:
It was delicious, but kind of a pile of lasagna-spaghetti. If you let it sit for just a bit, it cuts more like lasagna and looks a little prettier.
I couldn’t bear to let this casserole sit so mine was falling apart. That’s okay. it was worth cutting into a tad bit early.
Ingredients
12 oz spaghetti (cooked and drained)
1/4 cup Kerrygold butter
1 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
8 oz cream cheese (softened)
1 teaspoon McCormick garlic powder
1/3 cup Kraft grated parmesan cheese
28 oz favorite pasta sauce
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Place the cooked spaghetti in a bowl with the butter and toss until melted and evenly distributed. Place spaghetti in a 13″x9″ pan. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl beat the cream cheese, ricotta, parmesan, and garlic powder until smooth. Spread over the spaghetti.
Pour sauce over the top and bake for 30 minutes.
Top with more parmesan cheese (if desired) and let sit for about 5-10 minutes.
Serve.
