Caramelized Little Pieces Of Goodness – This Cake Will Make You Lick Your Fingers!
My mother is an amazing baker. She is a mother of six, which means she had to learn to make things from scratch to keep the costs down.
But saving money was never her only inspiration; she loves baking, and she’s probably going to continue trying all kinds of new recipes for as long as she is able to hold the whisk in her hand! Besides new and modern recipes she often makes some of her staples. This caramel-apple upside down cake reminded me of one of Mom’s recipes!
I just made this yesterday, using apples from my own garden (we’re having plenty of them this year!) I was worried this would be difficult to make; trust me, I haven’t inherited my mother’s baking skills… The ingredient list seemed a bit lengthy compared to the usual cake mix recipes I tend to use, haha!
But when I got to work, I noticed this cake was actually really easy to make. There’s nothing fancy, and yet it turns out absolutely beautiful. And it tastes amazing!
