Baked Mac And Cheese With A Bacon And Breadcrumb Twist!

There wasn’t a single noodle left in the pan at the end of the night. Everyone kept asking me how I made macaroni and cheese so addictive. It was all the bacon and cheese of course. You can’t simply walk away from that. I know that everyone had at least one helping, but most had two. I had to repeat this recipe again for not only my kids, but my husband as well. We all enjoyed it as equally as much as the girls did at that party that night.

Feel free to add even more of both… if that’s the way you like it

Ingredients

4 oz Colby Jack cheese
4 oz sharp cheddar
1/2 lb Kraft mozzarella cheese
1/2 lb Velveeta cheese
4 Tbsp butter or margarine
5 slice Hormel bacon; cooked until crisp
salt and pepper; to taste
1 1/2 c milk, 2%
1 lb box of pasta; cooked
1/2 c bread crumbs

Instructions

Cut cheese into small cubes.
Put all ingredients (except bacon and pasta) in large sauce pan. Cook over medium-high heat until cheese is melted.
Add pasta and bacon to cheese mixture.
Pour into a large casserole dish that has been prepared with vegetable spray. Sprinkle bread crumbs evenly over pasta.
Bake for about 30 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand for about 10 minutes.

Quick Tip: Try with pepper jack cheese and a splash of hot sauce for a little heat.
