As you guys and gals already know I live in the heart of Amish country. My husband moved us from my home state of Michigan to Pennsylvania about three years ago. One of the first things I noticed about the area was the rich culture of the Amish and Mennonite people. I, myself, am Mennonite so this was fun for me to see how the more conservative groups live. One thing is certain, they all love to bake and cook excellent food!
This apple bread is such a sweet recipe and very easy to make. I usually make a few loaves at once as the recipe is simple to double or even triple.
