My son and his baseball team had just played one of the hardest games of the season. They were all very nervous going into the game knowing that they were playing an undefeated team. They had practiced and practiced though, and they were ready to give it their all. It was a close game. Each inning left the batting team on top. Unfortunately, they were not the last to bat, so they ended up losing the game by just one single run. They all walked back to the dugout hanging their heads.
I felt terrible. I knew what they were feeling in their defeat. I wanted to do something to cheer them all up. We have a pool at our house, so I invited everyone over after they got cleaned up for a swim. I promised to provide food and soda, and a nice fun time.
Most of the player showed up, and I knew they were going to be hungry after playing so hard. I had whipped up these chicken tenders in a large quantity from a recipe that I had seen on All Recipes. It’s a good thing I had other side dishes to go with these, because they were gone instantly.
