This tilapia recipe is for a simple dinner. If you want something light but delicious for dinner, then this can be your go-to dish. The flavors are incredible on the fish. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Serve with a bit of vegetables on the side and you got your full meal!
Our friend over at Taste Of Home has this to say about this recipe:
“My husband and I are always looking for light fish recipes because of their health benefits. This one’s a hit with him, and we’ve tried it at dinner parties, too. It’s a staple.”
This has become a part of my diet the past few days. Well, for one, it’s easy to make. And two, it’s really healthy. It’s not fried, but it’s baked. That saves you a lot of unwanted oils. Sure, there are a few ingredients that make it rich like the cheese, but that’s nothing compared to oil if you fry it. It’s also very tasty and oh so flavorful!
Ingredients
1/4 cup Great Value egg substitute
1/2 cup Sargento grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon McCormick Italian seasoning
1/2 to 1 teaspoon crushed McCormick red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon McCormick pepper
4 tilapia fillets (6 ounces each)
Instructions
Place egg substitute in a shallow bowl. In another shallow bowl, combine the cheese, Italian seasoning, pepper flakes and pepper. Dip fillets in egg substitute, then cheese mixture.
Place in a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 425° for 10-15 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
