This is the best dip to serve during get-togethers, football parties, and other social events.
Check out what my friends over at Recipe Lion have to say about this recipe:
My family loved this recipe. With most recipes I change the rules. I purchased sour cream for another optional choice. Some people were asking what kind of beans, this recipe is good for “almost”any type of bean, black, navy, kidney, etc. even Bushes chili beans.
I like that approach! I used the pinto beans in this recipe and they were really good, especially with the different seasonings.
Ingredients
1 (8-ounces) package of Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1 (1.25-ounces) package of taco seasoning mix
1 can (16-ounces) Pace Chunky Salsa
Kraft Cheddar Jack, cheese
shredded lettuce, to taste
Sliced pitted ripe olives (optional)
Chopped tomatoes (optional)
Tostitos Tortilla chips
1 can (16-ounces) pinto beans
Instructions
Stir the cream cheese and taco seasoning in a small bowl until the mixture is smooth. Spread the cream cheese mixture on the bottom of a shallow serving dish.
Spread the beans over the cream cheese mixture. Top with the salsa, cheese and lettuce.
Top with the olives and tomatoes, if desired. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with the tortilla chips for dipping.
