As a young girl, i can remember watching the movie “Hook.” It’s about an American family who takes a trip to England over the holidays to visit their grandmother. Now, of course the movie is about Peter Pan and Captain Hook but there are also scenes that show a lovely spread of English Christmas goodies. This part always made my mouth water and I dreamed of one day sampling this delicious English food. As I browsed the internet the other day I came across a recipe for an English Christmas cranberry and fig cake. it looked so yummy as you can see by the picture. Don’t you just love the decorations?
I haven’t yet made this cake but I plan to for Christmas. I love cranberries but I’m not so sure about the figs as I’ve never really had them before. Have you? They look like they might taste like a prune. I bet the cake will taste amazing so I’m not t0o worried about the figs 🙂 Plus, I hear amazing things about figs so they will probably end being awesome and I’ll eat them all the time from here on out haha! if you have any input about figs or this cake please leave me some comments at the bottom of the page 🙂
