If you’re anything like me, you love a good dip. I don’t mean the sour cream and spices type of dip that you chill in the fridge. I’m talking about a cheesy dip that gets baked in the oven to bubbling perfection. This cheesy Vidalia onion dip combines shredded cheese with cream cheese and sweet onions for a flavorful appetizer. You can make this dip for parties, lunch, or just as an -I’m-gonna-watch-Netflix-all-night snack.
My husband absolutely loved this cheesy sweet onion dip, my kiddos, not so much. But here’s the thing, the kids hate onions and no matter how small I chop them up, they always find them and complain. So, if you want to make this dip kid friendly, just leave out the Vidalias. But, then again, what fun is that? We took some of this dip up to my husband’s grandparents and they liked it! However, my husband’s pap thought you were supposed to eat it with a fork and not with crackers so I guess you could say he ate this sweet onion dip “straight up.” LOL

You mentioned cream cheese, shredded cheese and onion, Recipe states Mayo instead????
I made mine a bit differently as I’m not a huge fan of mayo. Sorry to confuse you 🙂
