My sister showed up to a party with a big batch of this guacamole. When we were all scraping the bottom of the bowl at the end of the night, it was clearly the party favorite. Because my deal old sis brought this dip to our get together, she was automatically the most popular person there. I really wanted to be the coolest cat at the party, but all i brought was a fruitcake. I learned my lesson, folks.
When pestered for her secret recipe, she laughed and told us it was from the Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. I bought the cookbook the next day and while every recipe I’ve made from it is great, this is still my favorite. And yes, I have been bringing guac to all parties from there on out.
