Is it Pea-can or Pea-cahn? Who cares? It’s Delicious.

My mother in law makes the best pecan pie you’ve ever had.  And despite the fact that she always corrects how I say pecan, I believe hers is basically state fair ready and would absolutely win a blue ribbon.  When I make pecan pie at home, I like to take the lazy way out.  Luckily, I have found a recipe ALMOST as good as my mother in laws that’s basically 1/2 the effort.

 

I didn’t realize I could make pie in the crock pot either, but this is totally worth your time to read and try.  This has revolutionized how I look at pie and I’m so glad I found this decadent recipe to share with you! A bit of a warning, though. If you serve this to your friends and family, you’d better keep the recipe at hand! They will beg you for it!

Quick Tip:  Spray the crock pot down with Pam cooking spray to help prevent cooking or layer in long strips of foil to make for easy lifting.
