In our case, we love having burgers beyond the traditional fourth of July occasion or BBQ. We enjoy them as a special treat on a weeknight where my husband gets home early or during a stay-at-home movie night. We really will find any excuse to eat burgers, but we don’t like to buy them. The ones you find at fast food joints, or even the better quality burger joints just don’t have the same flavors and texture as a burger made at home.
Ever since we started making these burgers at home, we haven’t gone back to purchased or even frozen ones. I don’t even remember the last time we bought some of those. These are too good to pass up and your family will love them.
Ingredients
1lb lean ground turkey
1 egg
1/3 cup Panko plain breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped or pulsed
1/4 tsp. McCormick garlic powder
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl (using your hands for best results) and form into patties (use an ice cream scooper for even sized patties).
Add a little oil to pan over medium high heat. Once hot, add patties to the pan and let cook until sealed and then flip. lower the heat and allow to cook until it’s to your desired temperature (I usually leave mine about 3-4 minutes on either side)

Quick Tip: Use Hawaiian sweet rolls for the buns. We have found these to have the perfect texture as well as sweet taste and it makes the burgers that much better.
