When my sister and I were growing up, our mother baked sweets once a month.  I always wanted brownies, while my sister would beg for chocolate chip cookies.  Our mom decided we would take turns and actually marked each month of the calendar with “brownies” or “cookies”.

After finding this recipe online, I emailed it to my mom and sister.  Mom called me as soon as she read it, laughing.  “This would have been perfect for us!”, she said.
