Needed something quick and easy NOW for dinner. Thought about the frozen pierogies in the fridge and Google led me here. No bacon in my house right now so I left if off and used roasted leeks that had been sitting in my freezer. Family loved it. Thanks.
So I am the man!! Made this dish for the family and they all loved it! Substituted bacon for sliced farmer sausage sautéed in onions also put 1/4 cup of butter in the cream cheese sauce with chicken stock….amazingly tasty!! Thank you so much!!!
Ingredients
16oz frozen pierogis
2-3 slices cooked bacon,crumbled
1/3 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4-1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
chopped green onions, optional
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray 13 x 9 baking dish with non stick cooking spray. Arrange frozen pierogis in dish.
Mix cream cheese and chicken broth in a saucepan. Stir frequently until cheese is melted. Pour cream cheese mixture evenly over pierogis. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
Bake 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and pierogis are warmed through. Garnish with crumbled bacon & chopped green onions.

Quick Tip: You can use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
