Double Melt Away Steak For Date Night!

I rarely prepare steak. I love eating meat, but I don’t have the patience for cooking steak so I always leave it to my boyfriend to do just that. His family has a lot of steak recipes. His dad cooks great steaks while his mom is just a good cook in general. So whenever we’re craving for steak, he’s the king of the kitchen. He knows just when it’s already medium rare (exactly how I want mine). He knows when it’s well-done. He knows when it’s still a bit rare (it’s how he wants his). He also makes the perfect vegetable side dishes. I love his roasted asparagus.

Uncle Ben loves my boyfriend because of this. I often see them talking whenever he manages to come to one of our family get togethers. So I wasn’t surprised when I received a call from Uncle Ben asking the two of us to come for dinner. Uncle Ben and his wife lives an hour away from where we live. So it wasn’t really a difficult drive. When we arrived there, Uncle Ben was already working the grill.

I could see really thick tenderloins in the grill already. There was a small table of four in the backyard. He served us a new steak recipe that tasted really good yet different. He asked me if he could serve it in the next family reunion and I told him it would be a hit. He just beamed.

And then he and the boyfriend proceeded to talk about something else while I helped aunt in the kitchen. It had seemed like a double date! Anyway, this recipe that I will share with you reminds me of Uncle Ben and his new steak recipe. Hope you will love this one too!
