My husband absolutely loves chicken wings. He could eat them every day – for breakfast, lunch and dinner! And after my first try at this recipe I have to say it’s no wonder he enjoys them so much… These are super delicious, and the best part is that they are very simple to make.
Ingredients
4 pounds chicken wing drumettes, frozen
1 cup buffalo sauce (I used Frank’s)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 tablespoons honey
Instructions:
In a 5 quart slow cooker on low add buffalo sauce, butter and honey. Stir to combine. Add chicken wings and stir until well coated. Cook on low 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
Remove from slow cooker, place on a baking sheet lined with foil. Drizzle sauce from slow cooker over wings.
Set oven to broil. Place baking sheet in oven and bake for a couple of minutes until the sauce starts to caramelize. Remove from oven, serve and enjoy.
Quick Tip: If using fresh wings versus frozen, the cook time shortens to 3-4 hours on low, or 1-2 hours on high.
Thanks to The Slow Roasted Italian for this simple game day treat!
