When I was at work one day in a residential living facility, some of the girls had decided that they were going to bring in their own foods and make a nice meal for themselves and the clients that were living there.
I thought that was a fine idea, so I decided to join in. I signed up to bring a salad, just because making anything else than that for me, especially when other people are counting on me, often turns out disastrous. I was going to stick with my tried and trued chocolate chip cookies.
One of the older ladies brought in a decent sized bag of ingredients and started making a chicken salad. I was intrigued, to say the least. I couldn’t help but stand next to her and watch her put it all together, It was just like this recipe that I found on Facebook.
I was so happy with the flavor, I had her write down the ingredients list and instructions that day before we all punched out. I make this all the time at home now. Surprisingly enough, I’m actually pretty good at it too! I love to serve it to company and during social events.
