Bourbon Chicken In The Crock Pot: For Your Grown Up Taste Buds

We were going to be hosting an adults only game night at our house. I wanted a chance for all of us to get together without the distraction of the kids. It doesn’t happen often, but I think it needs to once in a while. I love my kids to death, but everyone needs a break once in a while. I got in touch of my younger cousin and she and a couple of friends offered to watch all the kids… for a small fee… but it was so going to be worth it to get some grown up time.

I wanted to make the event super adult, so all the dishes that I served were those that I wouldn’t normally serve to the kids. The most popular one was this bourbon chicken done in the crock pot. It was a recipe that I had found on Spend With Pennies.

It was so tender and juicy, we couldn’t get enough of it. I didn’t even serve potatoes or anything with it, just the chicken so it was more like an appetizer. Everyone loved it, and had a great time at our game night. I’m scheduling one of those again soon!
