Reward Yourself And Your Family With These Chewy Red Velvet Brownies!

My husband had an emergency for work a couple of weekends ago. We all didn’t expect it. We actually planned to have a relaxing weekend with the kids wherein my husband and I would tag team in the kitchen, making food for all of us. We also decided to buy new DVDs so that we could have something new for the movie marathon. It was really a perfectly and meticulously planned weekend until my husband received that call from his boss.

We had no choice but to let him go. They would need to go out of town on Saturday and he would go back home on Sunday. I still continued with cooking desserts for my kids and I.

We had a bit of a quiet weekend dinner and a quiet movie marathon too. I bought them this new DVDs about those cute little colorful beings with thick long hair, which they absolutely loved. And we snacked on these red velvet brownies that were a it easy to make even if they tasted that good.

My husband came home on a Sunday morning just in time for lunch. We still had a bit of the leftover brownies, which he devoured. And we still had that family bonding time after we all gone to church.

My husband looked really happy. He told me, enjoying time with the family and eating with us always felt like a reward after a hard week’s work. And he would never exchange it for anything!
