My Friends Say, “These Darling Macaroons Are So Spot On!”

I have a lot of friends, but very few belong to the list of long-time ones. With my friends, we usually go out once in a while together with our families. With long-time friends, we hold gatherings at each other’s houses. It was my turn to host a small gathering. However, that didn’t mean I had to cook all the food. My friends would bring their own contributions. It’s just that the venue was all on me.

In fact, I was assigned snacks for the afternoon tea. We usually held it early in the afternoon and ended it before nine. We now have our families so we couldn’t stay away for a long time.

I decided to make them these snickerdoodle macarons which I learned from Bewitching Kitchen. They’re easy to make than most macaron recipes. And they also tasted really good!

I had to make them a day before because it was said that they would taste better the next day. It was true! If you’ve been making macarons for a long time, you will know the difference in the texture.

For that afternoon, I served these amazing macarons with freshly brewed cup of coffee. My friends are all coffee lovers so tea isn’t even an option. All I could say is, it had been a “wonderful catching up afternoon” with friends.

Quick Tip: It is VERY important to age the egg whites, so make sure to do that. Crack the eggs the day before, separating the whites and let them sit over the countertop overnight.
