This Tuna Salad Sandwich Recipe Is “Picnic Perfect!”

This tuna salad sandwich recipe is different than most tuna salad sandwich recipe I have tasted. First of all, it doesn’t use canned tuna, which is usually the case. This recipe uses fresh tuna. It’s a little bit healthier already if you base it on that fact alone. My grandmother was probably the only one I knew who used fresh tuna for a tuna salad sandwich, well, other than our friend here at The Perfect Pantry. I grew up eating tuna salad sandwich, but it’s mostly made from canned tuna. Mom has always found it easier and it didn’t taste bad so we got used to using canned tuna for this recipe. I make it all the time using canned tuna too, even though I have come across a few recipes such as this one. However, it’s quite different now that I have a family. I want to make sure that my twins will be eating healthy, if not, at least eating the healthier versions. So now I don’t mind if it will take more effort on my part as long as my family will enjoy the benefits.

This tuna salad sandwich recipe from the Perfect Pantry is too good to be true. We all thought that using fresh tuna won’t make that much of a difference, but it does! All you can taste is freshness! There is not a slight taste lingering like what happens whenever it’s canned tuna. My husband eats this as a salad for dinner and allows me to prepare it as a sandwich the next day. It’s convenient and it’s really delicious. A perfect meal for the family! A copy of this recipe can be found on the next page. Enjoy!
