Caramel apple monkey bread is what makes my heart happy.
Man, I used to always enjoy a good monkey bread made by my sister, but I have rarely tried such a good bread as this one. This one is full of chunks of apples and has lots of caramel sauce oozing out. It is a really nice treat either for dessert, or breakfast. Honestly, I think it goes great for a church potluck or a baby shower brunch. It is easy to make and yet looks so impressive and perfectly delicious!
My neighbor Anne was jogging last week on the bike trail behind our house when she noticed I was sitting on my couch enjoying something. Never to be left out, she stopped by and sat down with me at our counter. She skipped the plate and fork and decided to just pick at it with her fingers. She was so impressed with the way they were gooey and just melted in her mouth that she asked for the recipe right then and there.
The following weekend I saw her on the porch having brunch with her church friends and when I looked over her way, she had made the same apple caramel monkey bread. And boy did it look delicious! It looked so good, I snuck up when they were all inside in their prayer meeting and took a slice. Hehehe.
