Ooey Gooey Cake Batter Bars!

These ooey gooey bars are so easy to make. There are only a few ingredients. It literally is an easy dessert that you can just whip up at a moments notice. There is no rhyme or rhythm to them, just simple and easy, but very effective might I add! I usually make these bars when I don’t have a whole lot of time t dedicate to making a dessert. They are also very economical to make when you need to make a dessert that will feed a lot of people. Another fantastic reason to try this recipe out. But the most important part is because they taste so good!

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Pillsbury yellow cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 stick of Land O Lakes butter
  • 8 oz. softened Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 1 box of powdered sugar (16 oz.)

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350° F. Butter or spray 9×13 inch glass dish.
  2. Combine cake mix, one egg, and butter in large bowl. Blend together and press into the bottom of dish.
  3. Combine cream cheese, two eggs, and powdered sugar. Blend with hand mixer until creamy and thick.
  4. Pour mixture over cake layer.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the top is golden.
  6. Once cooled off place in the refrigerator to firm. (These taste much better cold!)
