This Is Exactly Like Grandma’s Potato Salad

I got an invitation to a BBQ a few weeks back, and it was the first one of the season. On the note it said, please bring a dish to pass. Of course, I love to share! It had been so long since I made anything for a BBQ though, I had no idea what I was going to go with. I thought about cheating and just picking up a box of cookies from the deli and calling it dessert, but I needed to get my skills back up for the season. I found a recipe on Julie’s Eats & Treats for a potato salad that sounded fairly simple.

The night before the party, I tossed everything together and stuck the salad in the fridge. In the morning, I checked it, added a little more dressing, and headed out the door. I didn’t even taste it… kind of forgot about that part. It was okay though, because everyone loved it!

This was the first salad bowl to get completely cleaned out. Everyone kept telling me how it reminded me of the potato salad that their Moms and Grandmas used to make. I think I’ll hold onto this one for a while!
