You Might Need A Bib For This Juicy Burger

I have never been much of a professional when it comes to spending time in the kitchen. My mom usually took care of that. My dad would cook once in a while too. His specialty was always hamburgers. He loved to be outside on the grill, cold drink in his hand, listening to the baseball game on the radio, with nobody bothering him. Mom would mix up the meat and make the patties, and he would do the cooking.

One of my favorites was his beer burger. Of course, the alcohol cooks out, but I still thought it was pretty cool having a burger with beer in it when I was a kid. The meat was always so juicy, the bun had a hard time soaking it all up. The flavor was incredible.

I liked to throw a slice of mozzarella or American cheese on mine right before it was done. Way better than any burger we ever bought at a restaurant. This is the one thing that I can make now that I’m the Dad.

I usually ask the wife to help with the mixing of the meat, because I want to get it just right, like this recipe from Group Recipes. She makes better patties than I do too.

The flavor when they come of the grill though is just as incredible as I remember.
