Even The Grinch Will Love These Bright Cookies!

The twins’ birthday are coming up. My husband and I are planning for it to be a small gathering, just with family and friends. We just want to celebrate it because we want them to enjoy their day. We are actually more excited than them. To be honest, they don’t even seem to find it a big deal whether they have a party or not. Our kids just enjoy every moment that comes their way and that includes every day moments. I have to admit that they get that from their Dad.

But my husband and I want to make it special, so we were thinking of plans for the party a week ago. We wanted to have a theme for the party, and we stayed all night thinking about it. My husband kept suggesting complicated themes like pirates and robots, while I wanted simpler themes like colors and hats.

We finally decided on a rainbow themed party since the twins have brought new colors into our lives. We decided to make it really fun by requiring everyone to attend with their brightest shirt or dress. We will also serve simple food; mostly nibbles actually like cookies and brownies.

This is where this grinch cookies come in the equation. I decided to bake everything for the party. My sister-in-law already volunteered to help me as well as a couple of my cousins.

We searched for colorful yet tasty food for the party, and this is one of those that we found. I tested the recipe a few nights ago and my family approved!
