This Mouthwatering Shepherd’s Pie Is All-American!

Shepherd’s pie is a family favorite. As a kid, I used to eat a lot of potato dishes, which is why I grew up with a soft heart for potatoes. Mom’s mashed potatoes were my particular favorite! My husband grew up in a household where the breakfast and the dinner were sometimes both composed of potatoes. He grew up with fondness for potatoes. His mother’s baked potatoes were a highlight of his childhood.

I make shepherd’s pie whenever I want a tasty dish that reminds me of home. Even if I have been independent for a long time and even now that I have a family of my own, I still get homesick sometimes. Whenever I feel that way, I always cook something that makes me reminisce childhood.

Shepherd’s pie is my childhood. Mom always used to cook it for weekends because weekends are special. We always have a special menu during Saturdays and Sundays because it’s the time when everybody got to relax.

I usually don’t cook shepherd’s pie as often as I cook other recipes, but whenever I do, I make sure it’s the most special shepherd’s pie in existence. I have a recipe that I always follow whenever I make shepherd’s pie. And you can find a copy of this recipe on the next page.

Enjoy! I hope your family will love this amazing recipe!
