It’s The Easy Peach Slow Cooker Recipe That Will Make Everyone Sweet In A Snap!

This peach slow cooker recipe is truly perfect for emergency situations. It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t look as good as, for example an apple pie that’s baked the usual way. What matters most is the taste. This peach slow cooker recipe will not let you down. It’s a dessert that will truly be appreciated by anyone. You can serve this with vanilla ice cream on top and no one will even care that the serving is not perfect.

One of our friends over at Dine And Dish has this to say about this recipe:

“I will tell you up front that this recipe is not going to win any beauty awards. Slow Cooker desserts in general tend to be ugly, but for a dessert that is as simple as dumping in a bunch of ingredients into a slow cooker and letting them cook, this wins. Besides, the smell of your house when the cinnamon and peaches and vanilla simmer together is so so so good. Who cares if it is an ugly dessert… the aroma alone will win you over!”

And the taste will definitely wain anyone over! Nuff said.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Great Value frozen sliced peaches
  • 1 tablespoon Argo cornstarch
  • ½ tablespoon McCormick vanilla extract
  • ½ tablespoon McCormick almond extract
  • ¼ cup Domino brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon McCormick cinnamon
  • 1 9 ounce box Jiffy yellow cake mix
  • 4 tablespoons Land O Lakes melted butter

Instructions

  1. Spray the crock of your slow cooker with cooking spray.
  2. Place frozen peaches in the bottom of your slow cooker in an even layer. Sprinkle with cornstarch and toss.
  3. Drizzle with vanilla and almond extract.
  4. Next, sprinkle the brown sugar than cinnamon evenly over the peaches, then add the cake mix, sprinkling evenly over the peaches.
  5. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix, cover and cook on high for 3 hours, or until a nice cake like crust has formed.
  6. (Note, at 2½ hours, I actually stir mine, but this isn’t necessary.)
