A Tried And True Family Favorite

When my kids were little, I really did not have much time to be in the kitchen and cooking.  Having three kids one year apart (all boys!) was such a challenge, it was just a miracle if they actually got fed!  I mean, there is always something going on, someone into trouble, someone else who needs a diaper change and another who is crying.  It is non-stop in an all boy home (or maybe it is just my all boy home? Hmm.), but either way, it was always kind of crazy.

Well, as those boys grew into teenagers, their appetite grew with them.  These boys were constantly hungry, always asking for snacks and food, and I realized sandwiches for dinner ain’t gonna cut it with them.  I was going to need to start making more hearty dinners.  I realized I did not have any practice (or many recipes either!), so I got looking online and came across a few that seemed easy enough that I would not be able to mess it up.  Well, this one was the first I tried and well, I have used it so many times since that first day, I know it all by memory.  Simple, hearty and filling, this is my boy’s favorite!
