A Very Special French Vanilla Cake For A Very Special Day!

I decided to make this special French Vanilla Cake for a very special day. It was my brother’s anniversary a month ago. I wasn’t sure what to give him and his wife because I knew that while they would appreciate any gift, it’s not practical to give them something that they already have. My brother is quite the good provider and any material thing as a gift would have felt awkward. It was my husband who have me the idea. He told me, “who not give them a cake you baked? Your brother will simply love it and his wife will be thankful.” And I knew it’s true. My sister-in-law loves everything homemade as well as my brother. And I knew my nephew would appreciate such a gift too. So that’s what I did.

This French vanilla cake recipe was the first thing that came to mind. First of all, I considered that my sister-in-law might want to serve it to the guests so it’s better if it’s a bit fancy to look at. They had a small party for friends and family and it’s inevitable that all the food had to look good enough to serve. Second, it was probably the inner romantic in me, but anything French reminds me of romantic things. Oh my goodness, everyone loved it! As in everyone loved it! My sister-in-law wasn’t even able to eat a slice because when she served it, it was all gone. I had to send her another one a week after just to placate her. A copy of this decadent cake can be found on the next page. Enjoy!
