Indulge On The Rich Flavors Of This Incredible Candy Bar Cake!

This candy bar cake recipe is the most creative way to use those candy bars that just get stuck inside the fridge. In this way, you will not waste them and instead turn them into something else that’s just as delicious. Other than that, the sweetness and richness is shared instead of being eaten by one person. That’s healthier! I guess?

Our friend over at The First Year Blog has this to day about the recipe:

“But then there is this recipe for the Candy Bar Cake. It’s the ultimate recipe to help you eat up that leftover candy. And it is honestly incredible!”

It is incredible! I have tasted a lot of cakes in my entire life and this is probably one of the best cakes I have ever tasted!

Ingredients

  • 1 package Duncan Hines German Chocolate Cake Mix, 15.25 oz
  • 7 oz Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 oz Hershey’s caramel topping
  • 10 mini Twix bars
  • 10 mini Milkyway bars
  • 10 mini Three Musketeers bars
  • 1 container cool whip, 8 oz
  • 1 package Philadelphia softened cream cheese, 8 oz
  • Hershey’s Chocolate drizzle, to top

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the temperature on the back on the package.
  2. Prepare the cake mix as directed on the back of the package, making sure to grease the 9×13 inch pan.
  3. While the cake is baking, mix together the sweetened condensed milk and caramel topping. Set aside.
  4. Also chop the mini candy bars into small pieces. Set aside.
  5. Remove the cake from the oven once it’s done baking. While the cake is still hot, poke holes all over the cake with a straw.
  6. Pour the condensed milk/caramel mixture on top of the cake.
  7. Sprinkle half of the chopped candy bars on top, slightly pressing them into the cake with your fingers or straw. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  8. After it’s chilled, mix the cool whip and cream cheese together and spread the mixture evenly over the cake.
  9. Top the cake with the rest of the chopped candy bars.
  10. Keep refrigerated. Drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving if desired.
