Ree’s Mystery Rolls – Better Call William Shatner To Help Solve This Unexplained Recipe Phenomena!

It’s a mystery how good these rolls truly are because they only contain 3 ingredients!

Check out what my pals over at The Pioneer Woman had to say about this recipe:

“This is one of my mother’s “Recipe Binder” recipes, and as soon as I read it I cracked up and howled. On a sheet of aged, yellowed paper, someone had typed: “Mystery Rolls: 1 can flaky biscuits. 4 ounces crumbled blue cheese. 1 stick butter. Cut biscuits into fourths. Melt butter and cheese on a pan. Roll biscuits in cheese and butter. Bake ’til done.” I chuckled. Because isn’t this just perfectly representative of how simple things used to be? And how unconcerned people were with culinary pretension? Everything, from the hilarious name “Mystery Rolls” to the use of flaky canned biscuits just screams 1977, doesn’t it? But that doesn’t bother me; I loved 1977. It was a happy time. It was the time of Luke Skywalker. And Annie Hall.”

Oh, how fun it would have been to live in 1970!

Ingredients

1 stick (8 tablespoons) Land O Lakes butter
4 ounces crumbled blue cheese.
1 can Pillsbury flaky biscuits

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Put the butter and cheese on a baking sheet and bake until melted, a few minutes.
Separate the biscuits and cut each biscuit into fourths. Roll the biscuit pieces in the cheese and butter and bake for 8 to 12 minutes.
Serve warm, or freeze and heat up in a microwave for about 15 seconds.
