This Special Chili Combines Sweet With Heat. Yum!

This sweet and savory chili is a great meal idea on any day of the week. I have even made it for our annual Super Bowl party and everyone loved it. Serve it with a variety of garnishments for big game day flavor!

Ingredients

2lbs ground beef

1cup chopped sweet onion(Vidalia)

1chopped garlic clove

12cup chopped green bell pepper

1 12diced jalapeno peppers

2(15 ounce) cans chili beans

1(14 1/2 ounce) can of petite diced tomatoes

1 12teaspoons chili powder

1teaspoon cumin

1teaspoon thyme

12teaspoon salt

1 12teaspoons Accent seasoning, flavor enhancer

12teaspoon cinnamon

1312cup honey

 

 

Instructions

  1. Crumble ground beef in large pan; add accent flavor enhancer (optional).
  2. Brown ground beef.
  3. Add onion, green pepper, and garlic.
  4. Cook until onion is translucent/brown; drain oil.
  5. Add tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, chili beans, chili powder, cumin, thyme, salt and cinnamon.
  6. Stir and simmer on low for at least 25 minutes.
  7. Add honey; stir again.
