While planning for a recent family dinner, I wanted to make a dessert that tasted like summer. I wanted a dessert that was vibrant and flavorful, and one that encompasses the fun and flavor of summer. The first thing that came to mind was watermelon- somehow the scent and mess of a watermelon signifies summer to me. None of the desserts I found with watermelon, however, looked appealing at that moment.
My sister came across this Chocolate Strawberry Nutella Cake and I was mesmerized. This looked like a perfect dessert for our family dinner since so many of my family members are fond of strawberry treats. However, if it’s not one of your favorite berries you can easily use different fruits instead.
