Add An Apple Crumb Pie To Your Holiday Line-Up

What I think makes apple crumble pie so good is the simpleness of it. It only has a few basic ingredients that can be found in every household and that is exactly why it’s so good. I think anyone can make this recipe. It only takes 30 minutes to prep and 40 minutes to cook. There’s no extra to it. It’s just a very yummy traditional treat that the whole family loves!

My husband just yelled to me from the other room, “Tell ’em to make two because they’re gonna need the extra pie!” LOL!

Ingredients:

1 (9 inch) deep dish pie crust

5 cups apples – peeled, cored and thinly sliced

1/2 cup Domino white sugar

3/4 teaspoon McCormick ground cinnamon

1/3 cup white sugar

3/4 cup Gold Medal all-purpose flour

6 tablespoons Land O’ Lakes butter

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C.)

Arrange apple slices in unbaked pie shell. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples.

Mix 1/3 cup sugar with flour; cut in butter until crumbly. Spoon mixture over apples.

Bake in preheated oven until apples are soft and top is lightly browned, about 40 minutes.
